Conversion tracking
YouTube link conversion tracking that shows which video sold
YouTube link conversion tracking tells you which video actually drove the sale, not just which one got the views. Put a directinapp short link in your description, pinned comment, or channel about page, and every rupee of revenue maps back to the exact video and placement that earned it.
How do I set up YouTube link conversion tracking?
Create a directinapp short link for each video's description or pinned comment, then add our pixel or webhook on your checkout. When a viewer buys, the sale is attributed back to the exact video and placement, so you see revenue per video, not just clicks and views.
Why it matters
Revenue per video, not per view
YouTube Studio shows views and CTR on your links. directinapp shows the rupees. A 12k-view tutorial can out-earn a 200k-view vlog, and per-video attribution is the only way you find out which one to make more of.
Separate description, pinned comment and about-page links
Give each placement its own short link. Now you know whether your pinned comment CTA actually converts better than the description link, or whether your channel about-page link quietly drives half your sales.
Sales captured automatically from your checkout
Connect a signed webhook for Razorpay, Stripe, Shopify or WooCommerce and paid orders flow in on their own. No manual tagging, no spreadsheet reconciliation after every product launch or course drop.

Three steps, no developer
Make a short link per video placement
Shorten your product, course or Gumroad URL once per video, and once per placement if you want to compare description vs pinned comment. Drop it into YouTube. Free click, geo and device analytics come with every link.
Connect your checkout
Add the directinapp pixel to your thank-you page, or connect a signed Razorpay/Stripe/Shopify/WooCommerce webhook so paid orders are captured automatically without touching your payment keys.
Read revenue by video
Each conversion carries a per-click id (dia_clid) and a first-party per-visitor id (dia_vid, cookie-scoped to one browser, not across devices), so you see which video and placement earned the sale.

Frequently asked questions
How does YouTube link conversion tracking work for description links?+
You replace your raw product URL with a directinapp short link in the video description. Every click is tagged with a per-click id; when that viewer buys and your pixel or webhook fires, the sale is attributed back to that exact video's description link.
Can I tell a pinned-comment sale apart from a description sale?+
Yes. Give the pinned comment its own short link and the description its own. Because each link is tracked separately, your dashboard shows conversions and revenue for each placement, so you know which CTA position actually earns money.
Does this recognise the same buyer if they watch on their phone but buy on a laptop?+
Not yet. Our visitor id is a first-party cookie scoped to one browser, so it is not tracked across devices. Cross-device identity is on the roadmap. Per-click and per-visitor-per-browser attribution work today.
Do I need to touch my Razorpay or checkout code?+
No. Connect a signed webhook and paid orders are captured automatically; directinapp never touches your payment keys or checkout. It is webhook-based, not a native gateway app. You can also drop a pixel on the thank-you page instead.
Is this different from YouTube Studio analytics?+
YouTube Studio shows views, watch time and link clicks. It does not know your revenue. directinapp connects the click to the actual sale in rupees, so you can rank videos by money earned, not just by traffic.
What does it cost?+
Link shortening, QR codes, deep-links, a link-in-bio page and click analytics are free. Conversion tracking is on the Business tier and comes with a free trial, so you can attribute a launch before you decide to pay.

Conversion tracking
Conversion tracking is measuring the real outcomes a link drives — a sale, a signup, a lead — not just the clicks. You tell your analytics tool "this counts as a conversion, worth this much," and it ties that outcome back to the link that earned it. directinapp does this on every link: fire a pixel, a postback or our drop-in dia.js script when a sale happens, and see the count, the rupee value and the conversion rate for that exact link — right down to which click and visitor drove it.
Instagram sales tracking
Yes — you can track sales and signups from an Instagram bio link or reel. Put your store or checkout behind a directinapp link, fire our pixel on your payment success page, and the Business report shows the count, rupee value and conversion rate that link drove. Even though a bio or reel is one shared link, per-visitor and per-click attribution shows which visitor and which click drove each sale — the visitor id is cookie-scoped to this browser, not the same person across devices.
vs Linktree
Linktree tells you a link got clicked. directinapp tells you it drove 12 purchases worth Rs 5,988. On any link you can fire our tracking pixel or server postback with a sale value, and the Business tier shows conversion count, total value and conversion rate per link, per currency (INR/USD/EUR/GBP/AED). Attribution now runs per-click and per-visitor (dia_clid and dia_vid), and signed webhook auto-capture for Razorpay, Stripe, Shopify and WooCommerce records a paid order automatically.
Tracking pixel
A tracking pixel for links is a tiny 1×1 image you load when a sale happens. Point an img tag at GET /c?s=SLUG&e=purchase&v=499&cur=INR and directinapp records one conversion — with its rupee value — against the link that drove it. No SDK, no cookie, no code beyond one line of HTML.
Server postbacks
A server postback records a conversion by sending a POST /conversions call from your backend to directinapp. You send JSON with the link's slug, an event name, value and currency, and the dashboard shows counts, total value and conversion rate per link. It is shipped and works today. Signed, HMAC-verified postbacks are on the roadmap.
Lead tracking
Yes — you can track leads and signups from any directinapp link today. Fire a "lead" or "signup" event from your form's thank-you page with our pixel or postback, and each link shows its lead count, conversion rate, and a per-event breakdown. Attribution ties each lead to the click and the visitor — a cookie-scoped id for this browser — that drove it; recognising the same person across devices is still on the roadmap.
