Why Business
Most link tools stop at clicks. This goes to the sale.
Drop a no-code pixel or fire a simple postback, and every conversion reports its rupee value back to the exact link that drove it.
Rupee value per link, not just clicks
Every conversion carries a value and currency, so you see the ₹ earned per link alongside its count and conversion rate — measured as a % of the real clicks on that link.
Per-event breakdown
Track purchase, signup, lead, subscribe — any event name you choose. See count and value ranked per event, and filter the feed down to one event with a tap.
A feed of every single sale
Each conversion is its own row: time, link, event, value and currency — plus order metadata like an orderId on server postbacks. Page through the full history.
No-code pixel setup
Copy a ready-made 1×1 pixel or a short postback, already filled in with your slug and API URL. No SDK, no developer — live on any thank-you page in minutes.
Made for India
Rupee-first, multi-currency totals: ₹ INR up front, with $, €, £ and AED each kept on their own line — accurate to each currency, never blind-summed.
The complete process
From a link to the rupees, in four steps
- 1
Create a trackable link
Spin up a short link for whatever you’re selling — a product, a course, a signup. Every link gets its own slug you’ll use to report sales back to it.
- 2
Share it anywhere
Drop it in your Insta bio, WhatsApp broadcast, YouTube description or a paid ad. The same link works across every channel you post to.
- 3
A sale fires your pixel or postback
When a buyer hits your thank-you page, a copy-paste 1×1 pixel reports the sale — or your server sends a postback with the order value. Either way the sale is tied back to that link by its slug.
- 4
See the rupees in your dashboard
Count, value and conversion rate per link, a ranked breakdown per event, a trend over time, and a feed of every individual sale — with ₹ totals kept in their own currency.
Set it up · baby steps
Turn on tracking without a developer
Pick the way that fits you. Every snippet below is the real thing — inside the app it comes pre-filled with your own slug.
Tracking pixel on your Thank-You page
Best when you have a thank-you / order-confirmed page where you can paste one line of HTML.
Think of it like a tiny invisible doorbell hidden on your “Thank you for your order” page. The moment a buyer lands there after paying, the doorbell quietly rings directinapp and whispers “one sale, ₹499, for this link.” Your customer never sees or feels a thing.
- 1In directinapp, copy your link’s slug (the short code at the end of your short URL).
- 2Open the editor for your thank-you / order-confirmed page — the page a buyer sees right after paying.
- 3Paste the snippet below into that page and replace YOUR_SLUG with your real slug.
- 4Set the details: e = your event name (like purchase), v = the amount in rupees, cur = INR. v and cur are optional — keep them to know the rupees, not just the clicks.
- 5Save and publish. Do one test purchase, then open your Conversions tab to see it appear.
<!-- Paste on your Thank You / Order Confirmed page. Replace YOUR_SLUG. -->
<img src="https://api.directinapp.com/c?s=YOUR_SLUG&e=purchase&v=499&cur=INR"
width="1" height="1" alt="" />Each load of this page counts as one sale, so use a page a buyer reaches only once. The pixel can’t carry extra details like an order number — for that, use the server postback.
Server postback (most reliable)
Best when you or your developer control the website/server and can send a request after a confirmed payment.
This is like your billing counter phoning head office directly, instead of asking the customer to pass the message along. Your own server sends a small note to directinapp the second a payment is confirmed — so nothing is lost even if the buyer closes their browser. It can even carry the order number.
- 1Copy your link’s slug from directinapp (a link’s UUID also works if you have it).
- 2In your website/server code, add a step that runs right after a payment succeeds.
- 3From that step, send a POST request to /conversions with the JSON body shown below.
- 4Fill in slug, eventName (like purchase), value in rupees, currency INR, and an optional orderId in metadata — metadata only works on the postback, not the pixel.
- 5directinapp replies 202 (accepted) — that means it was received. Open your Conversions tab to see the sale.

Content-Type: application/json
{
"slug": "YOUR_SLUG",
"eventName": "purchase",
"value": 499,
"currency": "INR",
"metadata": { "orderId": "ORD-1024" }
}value, currency and metadata are all optional; if you leave out eventName it’s simply recorded as “conversion”.
GA4 / Google Tag Manager
Best when you already run GA4 or Google Tag Manager and want your existing purchase event to fire our pixel.
You probably already have a “sale bell” — GA4 or Tag Manager — that rings every time someone buys. Here you simply tie our tiny 1×1 pixel to that same bell, so when it rings for a purchase it also quietly tells directinapp. No new system to learn.
- 1Copy your link’s slug from directinapp.
- 2In Google Tag Manager, create a new tag of type “Custom HTML”.
- 3Paste the pixel snippet below and replace YOUR_SLUG with your real slug.
- 4Optional: swap the fixed 499 for your GTM value variable — e.g. v={{purchase_value}} — to send the real order amount.
- 5Set the tag’s trigger to your existing GA4 Purchase event, then publish the container and run one test purchase.
<!-- GTM: new tag → Custom HTML. Trigger = your GA4 Purchase event. -->
<img src="https://api.directinapp.com/c?s=YOUR_SLUG&e=purchase&v=499&cur=INR"
width="1" height="1" alt="" />Reuses the tracking you already have — no separate integration to maintain.
Make your Reel or bio link count the rupees
Give every reel or campaign its own link, and every sale gets counted against it.
Right now directinapp tells you which link brought a sale — so the trick is one link per reel. Seeing which individual viewer bought (per-click attribution) is on the roadmap; per-link is already enough to know which reel is earning.
- 1In directinapp, create a brand-new short link just for this reel and give it a clear title like “Aug Reel – Cotton Kurti”.
- 2Copy that link’s slug (the short code at the end of the URL).
- 3Paste the link into your reel caption, your link-in-bio, or your Instagram bio — one link per reel, so sales from different reels never get mixed up.
- 4Set up tracking on your checkout once using this slug — either the Thank-You pixel or the server postback above.
- 5When a viewer taps your link and buys, the sale is recorded against THIS link. Recording is free and always on for every link, so no sale is lost even before you upgrade.
- 6Open the Conversions tab to see the count, total ₹ value and rate for that reel’s link. Run two reels with two links to see which truly brings the rupees.

On the way
What we’re building next
Here’s what’s coming to Business — listed honestly as roadmap, not as shipped features.
Per-visitor / per-click attribution
ComingA click id so you’ll see which visitor and click drove each sale — plus real “where” (country) and “source” data — instead of only which link.
Razorpay / UPI payment-webhook capture
ComingConnect Razorpay, UPI or Stripe so server-side sales flow in automatically, with no manual pixel or postback.
JavaScript SDK (directinapp.js)
ComingA hosted script that auto-captures the click id and fires named events via simple data-* triggers — no hand-built snippets.
Shopify / WooCommerce apps
ComingA turnkey Shopify app and WooCommerce plugin to connect your store in a click. For now, store owners use the generic pixel or postback.
Conversion tracking, answered
Frequently asked questions
What does conversion tracking actually show me?+
It shows which of your directinapp links led to real outcomes — sales, orders, signups, leads — and the rupee value behind them, not just clicks. You get a count of conversions, the total value, and a conversion rate shown as a percentage of your real clicks, plus a per-event breakdown (purchase vs signup vs lead), a conversions-over-time trend, and a detailed feed of every individual conversion. The whole point: know the rupees, not just the clicks.
Is this per-visitor tracking? Can it tell me which person or click drove a sale?+
Not today, and we’d rather be straight with you: attribution is per-LINK. A conversion is tied to the short link that carried it (by its slug or id), so you’ll know which link drove the sale — not which individual visitor or click. Because of that, the “where” (country) and “source” columns in the feed are mostly empty right now. Per-visitor / per-click attribution is on the roadmap, but it isn’t live yet and we won’t pretend it is.
I’m not a developer — can I set this up without writing code?+
Yes, there’s nothing to build. In the Conversions tab we hand you two copy-paste snippets, already filled in with your link’s slug. One is a tracking pixel — a tiny 1×1 image tag you drop on your thank-you page. The other is a postback (a simple POST) your store or tool can fire from a server. Pick an event name, optionally pass a value and currency, paste, and you’re live.
What kinds of conversions can I track, and can I separate them?+
Whatever matters to your business. Common ones are purchase, sale, order, signup, subscribe, lead and install — but the event name is free-form (1 to 64 characters), so you can invent your own like cod_order or webinar_signup. Leave it blank and it defaults to “conversion”. You can filter both the feed and the breakdown by event, so paid orders and newsletter signups stay cleanly apart.
I sell in rupees but also get some dollar sales — does that get mixed up?+
No. Values are grouped by currency and never blindly added together. If you take payments in ₹ and $, you’ll see each total on its own (₹ INR · $ USD · and so on) instead of one meaningless combined number. Supported currencies today include INR, USD, EUR, GBP and AED. Your conversion rate is shown as a percentage of the real clicks on that link.
What does it cost?+
Viewing your conversion reports is part of the Business plan at ₹999/month (₹9999/year). But for this launch it’s free for early birds — sign up during the launch month and you get Business conversion tracking at no cost. Only the reporting sits behind Business; recording conversions is free on every link.
Do I need Business before I start tracking? What about my free links?+
Start tracking right now, on any link, including free-tier links. Conversion ingestion is always-on — every pixel and postback is recorded no matter which plan you’re on, and it’s rate-limited so nothing gets dropped while you decide. What needs Business is VIEWING the reports. So the smart play is to paste your pixel today and upgrade (or grab the free early-bird deal) when you want to see the numbers. Nothing is lost in the meantime.
What data does this collect — is it privacy-friendly?+
It’s deliberately lightweight. A conversion records the link it belongs to, the event name, an optional value and currency, and a timestamp. The pixel can’t send extra metadata; the postback can carry an optional orderId to reconcile against your own records. We don’t set a visitor cookie or mint a click id, so we’re not following individual people around the web — which is also exactly why attribution is per-link today. Unknown or mistyped links are silently accepted, so nobody can probe your link list.
