Conversion tracking

Track leads and signups from your links

Yes — you can track leads and signups from any directinapp link today. Fire a "lead" or "signup" event from your form's thank-you page with our pixel or postback, and each link shows its lead count, conversion rate, and a per-event breakdown. Attribution is per-link today; per-visitor is on the roadmap.

How do you track leads from a link?

Use a directinapp smart link, then fire a "lead" or "signup" event when the form is submitted — the pixel GET /c?s=YOUR_SLUG&e=lead on your thank-you page, or POST /conversions from your server. Each link then shows its lead count, conversion rate and per-event breakdown. Attribution is per-link today; per-visitor is on the roadmap.

Why it matters

01

Know which link brings the leads

See, per link, how many leads and signups it drove, the total value, and the conversion rate. Stop guessing which ad, bio button, or WhatsApp blast is actually filling your pipeline.

02

Lead and signup as first-class events

Send eventName "lead" for an enquiry and "signup" for a registration — or any name you like. Every event name gets its own breakdown, so a landing page that captures both shows them side by side, not lumped into one number.

03

Every link is tracking from day one

Conversion ingestion is always on for every link on every plan, so you never lose lead data while you decide. Viewing the reports needs the Business tier — start the free Business month and read everything you've already been collecting.

Set it up

Three steps, no developer

01

Share your directinapp link

Make a smart short link and put it wherever your leads come from — a Meta or Google ad, your link-in-bio, a QR on a flyer, or a WhatsApp broadcast.

02

Fire a "lead" event on your thank-you page

When someone submits your form, mark it as a lead. Drop the pixel — GET /c?s=YOUR_SLUG&e=lead — on the thank-you page, or POST /conversions with { slug, eventName: "lead" } from your server. Use e=signup for registrations. Add &v=499&cur=INR if a lead has a rupee value.

03

Read your lead numbers

Open the Business dashboard to see each link's lead and signup count, conversion rate, a timeseries, and a per-conversion feed. Values are totalled per currency (INR, USD, EUR, GBP, AED), never blindly summed across them.

On the roadmap — Two things here are planned, not live: per-visitor attribution (a click ID — today you know a link's total leads, not which visitor each came from) and Razorpay/UPI/Stripe webhook auto-capture (today you fire the lead or signup event yourself from your thank-you page).

Frequently asked questions

How do I track leads from a link?+

Use a directinapp smart short link, then fire a "lead" event when the form is submitted. The simplest way is the tracking pixel on your thank-you page — GET /c?s=YOUR_SLUG&e=lead — or, from your server, POST /conversions with { slug, eventName: "lead" }. The link's report then shows its lead count, conversion rate, and per-event breakdown. Ingestion is always on; you need the Business tier to view the reports.

What's the difference between a "lead" and a "signup" event?+

Nothing is hard-coded — they're just event names you choose. Most teams use "lead" for an enquiry or form fill and "signup" for an account registration, so they can tell demand from activation apart. Each name gets its own count and breakdown, and you can add more names (like "demo" or "quote") whenever you want.

Can I auto-capture leads from Razorpay or a UPI payment?+

Automatic webhook capture from Razorpay, UPI, or Stripe is on the roadmap, not live yet. Today you report a paid signup by firing the pixel or postback yourself — for example, from your Razorpay success page, POST /conversions with eventName "signup" and the amount. It works now; it's just manual until webhook auto-capture ships.

Can I see which specific visitor became a lead?+

Not yet. Attribution today is per-link — you'll know a link drove, say, 20 leads worth a certain value, but not which individual click or visitor each one came from, so the feed's source columns stay empty. Per-visitor attribution with a click ID is planned and clearly on the roadmap.

Do I need a paid plan to track leads?+

Collecting is free — conversion ingestion is always on for every link on every plan, so your lead data is being recorded from the start. Viewing the lead reports requires the Business tier; a non-Business account gets an upgrade prompt. The free trial month is full Business, so you can read everything you've collected before paying.

How much does lead tracking cost?+

It's part of the Business tier: Rs 999/mo (from Rs 1,999) or Rs 9,999/yr (from Rs 19,999), plus GST, payable in rupees via Razorpay/UPI. The early-bird free trial month is full Business, so you can track leads end to end before you're charged.

More on conversion tracking

Conversion tracking

Conversion tracking is measuring the real outcomes a link drives — a sale, a signup, a lead — not just the clicks. You tell your analytics tool "this counts as a conversion, worth this much," and it ties that outcome back to the link that earned it. directinapp does this per link today: fire a pixel or a postback when a sale happens, and see the count, the rupee value and the conversion rate for that exact link.

Instagram sales tracking

Yes — you can track sales and signups from an Instagram bio link or reel. Put your store or checkout behind a directinapp link, fire our pixel on your payment success page, and the Business report shows the count, rupee value and conversion rate that link drove. Because a bio or reel is one link, attribution is per-link — you know the link earned the sales, not which follower.

vs Linktree

Linktree tells you a link got clicked. directinapp tells you it drove 12 purchases worth Rs 5,988. On any link you can fire our tracking pixel or server postback with a sale value, and the Business tier shows conversion count, total value and conversion rate per link, per currency (INR/USD/EUR/GBP/AED). Today attribution is per-link, and payment-webhook auto-capture is on the roadmap.

Tracking pixel

A tracking pixel for links is a tiny 1×1 image you load when a sale happens. Point an img tag at GET /c?s=SLUG&e=purchase&v=499&cur=INR and directinapp records one conversion — with its rupee value — against the link that drove it. No SDK, no cookie, no code beyond one line of HTML.

Server postbacks

A server postback records a conversion by sending a POST /conversions call from your backend to directinapp. You send JSON with the link's slug, an event name, value and currency, and the dashboard shows counts, total value and conversion rate per link. It is shipped and works today. Signed, HMAC-verified postbacks are on the roadmap.

Razorpay tracking

Yes — you can track Razorpay sales from your directinapp links today. Drop the directinapp pixel or server postback onto your Razorpay success page, and every paid order shows up against the link that drove it: order count, total rupees, and conversion rate. It's manual (you fire the pixel on success); automatic webhook capture is on the roadmap.
