Link-in-bio analytics: which of your links actually get tapped

A link-in-bio page is only useful if you know what people do on it. Here is what bio analytics should show, and how to tell which link is really driving results.

Link-in-bio analytics measure what happens on your bio page: how many people land on it, which of your links they tap, and where those taps come from. Per-link click data is what tells you which link is actually working, rather than guessing from follower count.

A link-in-bio page is the one clickable spot most social platforms give you, so creators and sellers cram every destination behind it: the shop, the latest video, the newsletter, the WhatsApp order line. The problem is that almost nobody looks at what happens after the tap. Followers and views tell you about reach. They tell you nothing about which link actually earns its place.

What link-in-bio analytics should show you

A useful bio page reports three things: how many people opened the page, how many taps each individual link got, and where those taps came from by device and location. That last part matters in India, where the same page is viewed on a budget Android and a flagship iPhone, and the two audiences often behave differently.

You can build a page that tracks all of this with bio pages, and read the story behind a single link-in-bio setup.

Per-link taps are the number that matters

A page-view count feels good but decides nothing. The number that changes what you do is per-link taps: it tells you the merch button outperforms the podcast link three to one, so the merch button should move to the top. Without per-link data you are decorating a page on instinct. With it, you are arranging it by evidence. Every link on a directinapp bio keeps its own count in link analytics.

From taps to results

A tap is interest, not income. The next step, when a link leads to something you sell, is to connect the tap to the order it produced. That is conversion tracking: it attributes the sale back to the exact bio link, so you can see that a quieter link driving real purchases beats a flashy one that only collects taps.

How to set it up

Claim your handle, add your links, and publish; every link is trackable from the moment the page goes live. Then let the taps, not your gut, decide the order of the page and which link deserves the callout. Start with bio pages.
